WORK BEGINS ON MAJOR UPGRADE AT QUARRY HILL PRIMARY SCHOOL

Students at Quarry Hill Primary School are a step closer to having the facilities they deserve, with work starting on a $1.9 million redevelopment of the school’s facilities.

Jacinta Allan MP, Member for Bendigo East today joined with Mr John Balsillie, a student when Quarry Hill Primary School first opened, students and teachers to turn the first sod to mark the start of construction.

The redevelopment includes a new library, administrative section, staff room and first aid room.

The new state-of-the-art facilities will provide better learning environments for local students so they can get the best out of their education.

The Andrews Labor Government is building the Education State so that every Victorian student gets the opportunity for a great education and every community has access to a great school.

There are now 42 new government schools and hundreds of school upgrades in the construction pipeline following the Labor Government’s record $1.8 billion investment in school infrastructure.

This school building boom will create 4000 construction jobs and ensure all Victorian families have access to a great school no matter where they live.
