Parents and Students at Holy Rosary Primary Schoolhave a safer walk to and from school with work now complete on a new schoolcrossing built on Napoleon Crescent in White Hills.

Member for Bendigo East Jacinta Allan said works tookplace during the school holidays to minimise disruption and make sure thecrossing was ready in time for term 3.

The new crossing further connects the White Hillscommunity with new pedestrian lights to be built on busy Napier Street at ScottStreet and walking paths in the growing area.

As part of the upgrade, workers have also improvedline markings, kerbs and storm water drains on Napoleon Crescent.

The school community was invited to speak withVicRoads as part of the Napier Street Upgrade, and with no formal crossingstudents had previously found it difficult to navigate the road during peakschool times.

VicRoads and City of Greater Bendigo worked togetherto deliver the crossing as part of the Andrews Labor Government’s $30.4 millioninvestment in boosting traffic flow on Napier Street.
